Producer Overview

The Producer view is your command center during a live event. It’s where you manage content, moderate questions, control what’s on the Activity Feed, what’s on the Display View, and monitor engagement — all in real time.

From the admin dashboard:

  1. Select your organization
  2. Select your event
  3. You’re in the Producer view

Or from the attendee app (if you’re the event owner): tap the Event Header menu → Moderation.

The Producer uses a kanban-style column layout on desktop, with items organized by status. On mobile, it switches to a stacked single-column view.

Each column can be collapsed by clicking the chevron — it shrinks to a vertical label with an item count. This lets you focus on the columns that matter during your event.

Columns are color-coded:

ColumnBackgroundDraggablePurpose
IncomingGrayNoNew questions from attendees. You can drop items into it, but you can’t reorder within it.
PreparingWhiteYesItems you’re staging before showing them. Drag cards up and down to reorder.
PresentingGreenYesCan be seen on the Presenter View. Drag to reorder the queue.
UsedGrayNoPreviously shown, now archived. Drop items here but no reordering.
RejectedGrayNoDismissed items. Drop items here but no reordering.

Gray columns are read-only for ordering — you can drop items into them from other columns, but you can’t rearrange the cards within them. White and green columns support full drag-and-drop reordering.

Every card has a context menu — right-click a card or click the vertical dots (•••) to access the same menu. This gives you quick access to move, edit, delete, and toggle settings without dragging. See Cards & Actions for the full menu.

An important thing to understand: columns don’t control what attendees see. The columns are simply an organizational tool to help you triage, prioritize and prep during a live event.

Important things to know

  • Items in the Presenting column are visible on the Presenter View.
  • Attendees are able to edit an item unless it is either in the Presenting or Used column, or in the Activity Feed - in these situations it’s considered ‘locked’ to the Attendee. The Attendee won’t know what column thier item is in.

The header bar shows:

  • Event name and event ID
  • Connection status — two indicator dots showing whether your WebSocket connections (admin + interaction) are active. Green = connected, red = disconnected.
  • Refresh button — manually refresh data if needed
  • Settings menu — quick access to Event Settings

If your connection drops, a Connection Lost banner appears at the top with a reconnect button.

The Action Bar has three tabs that switch the Producer’s focus:

TabWhat it showsDetails
Q&AQuestions from attendees, organized by moderation statusQ&A Tab
ContentPolls, slides, content blocks, and formsContent Tab
CommentsComments on items, with moderation actionsComments Tab

A green dot appears on a tab when an item in that tab is currently live on the Display View.
