Questions

The Q&A feature lets attendees submit questions during a live event. Organizers can moderate, curate, and display the best questions on the big screen via the Display View.

  1. Tap the Ask a Question button in the Action Bar
  2. Type the question in the modal that appears
  3. Optionally add your name (or submit anonymously, if allowed by Event Settings)
  4. Submit — the question is sent to the organizer

Depending on event settings:

  • Questions may appear immediately in the Activity Feed
  • Or they may require moderator approval before becoming visible (see Moderation below)

Attendees can also see their own submitted questions and their approval status in the My Submitted Questions section.

Questions arrive in real time in the Producer panel. You’ll see them in the moderation sidebar where you can:

  • Approve — Make the question visible to all attendees in the Activity Feed
  • Dismiss — Hide the question without showing it
  • Go Live — Send the question to the Display View for the whole room to see
Attendee submits → Appears in moderation queue → Organizer reviews
→ Approve → Visible in Activity Feed
→ Go Live → Shown full-screen on Display View
→ Dismiss → Hidden

Enable or disable moderation in Event Settings → Interactions.

Organizers can also create questions from the Producer panel — useful for seeding Q&A or submitting questions on behalf of the audience (e.g., from a microphone runner).

Configure who can ask questions in Event Settings → Interactions:

Auto-approveQuestions appear immediately in the Activity FeedEvent Settings

Attendees can comment on approved questions if comments are enabled. Configure this in Event Settings:

  • Enable comments globally — turns comments on for all new items
  • Auto-add comments — when on, every new item (including questions) has comments enabled by default
  • Per-item toggle — you can also enable/disable comments on individual questions from the Producer panel
  • For large audiences (100+), enable moderation to filter noise and surface the best questions
  • For intimate workshops, auto-approve works well and feels more natural
  • Use the “Go Live” action to highlight a question on the Display View before the speaker answers it
  • Encourage attendees to upvote questions they want answered — it helps you prioritize in the Producer panel
