Cards & Actions

Every item in the Producer — whether it’s a question, poll, slide, or content block — is displayed as a card. All cards share the same structure and controls.

The top bar of every card shows:

  • Item type label — “Question”, “Poll”, “Slide”, “Content”, “Form”
  • Drag handle — six dots icon. Drag this to move the card between columns.
  • Timestamp — relative (“5m ago”) or absolute (“2:30 PM”)
  • When the item is live: the bar turns green with white text
  • Edit button — opens the edit dialog for this item
  • Vote & comment counts — centered in the bar, aligned with the drag handle above. Shows upvote count and comment count when applicable. The comment count is clickable — tap it to open the comments dialog for that item.
  • GO LIVE button — red text, appears when the item is not currently live. Click to go live.
  • LIVE badge — bright green, appears when this item is currently on the Display View

Varies by item type:

TypeWhat’s shown
QuestionAuthor name, question text, optional image
PollQuestion, options list, vote counts per option, open/closed status
SlideThumbnail image, page number, original filename
ContentContent preview (varies by subtype)
FormTitle, description, question count, anonymous indicator

Every card has toggles in its footer that control attendee visibility:

ToggleWhat it controls
Activity FeedWhether this item appears in the Activity Feed on attendees’ devices
CommentsWhether attendees can comment on this item. Only active when Activity Feed is on.
VotingWhether attendees can upvote/downvote this item. Only active when Activity Feed is on.
Popup(Polls only) Push a notification to attendees’ screens. Auto-expires after 30 seconds.

The Comments and Voting toggles are grayed out when Activity Feed is off — if the item isn’t in the feed, there’s nothing for attendees to comment on or vote on.

The three-dot menu (•••) in the card footer gives you additional actions:

  • Edit [Item Type] — open the edit dialog
  • Move to Preparing / Presenting / Used / Rejected — move the card to a different column without dragging
  • Move to Top / Move Up / Move Down / Move to Bottom — reposition within the current column
  • Delete [Item Type] — permanently remove the item (shown in red)

When a card is currently live, two additional buttons appear in the footer:

  • End Live (red) — removes the item from the Display View. The item stays in its current column (Presenting) — it does not move.
  • Next (blue) — advances to the next card in the Presenting column and moves the current item to the Used column.

See Going Live for details.

  • Show the slides in realtime in teh Activity Feed so the audience can download the slide, comment on it, or give it a thumbs up.
  • The Comments toggle defaults to whatever you’ve set in Event Settings (auto-add comments setting). Override it per-item when needed.
  • The Popup button on polls is great for grabbing attention — use it when you launch a poll during a session
  • Drag handles only work when search/sort/filter are at their defaults. If you’ve filtered, use the more menu to move items.
